What is a Mala?

A mala is a string of beads -- in this case, made of semi-precious stones – that is used to count prayers. Malas are always made in multiples of 108 so that 108 prayers can ascend to Valinor:

1 for the One God

0 for Zero consciousness

8 for Infinity

(In the land of Valinor
where no shadows lie.)

Lay the first bead over the meridian point on the side of the finger between the tip and the 1st knuckle.

1st finger is for wisdom
the 2nd for patience
3rd , health
pinky for communication.

Slide the beads across that meridian as you count your prayers. The meridian will be stimulated and send the prayer energy, through you, to its destination.
